The article contains instructions for replacing main display board in the touch screen monitor.
Steps
1. Power down the Value Add Center kiosk
2. Disconnect cables from the Touch Monitor (Power jack, HDMI, and USB)
3. Remove monitor from the VAC (you will want to have someone assist at the front of the VAC). See here on steps for how to remove the monitor: Replacing Touch screen Monitor
4. Open the back panel by removing the screws circled in red
5. Disconnect all the cables from old monitor board and then remove the board
Note: BEFORE removing any cables, it is strongly recommend that you take pictures of how each cable is currently connected to the original display board.
In some cases, like the picture below, some connectors may not be engaging with all of the PINs on the display board.
In the below example, the white connector is plugged into the display board while leaving one of the display board PINs outside of the connector (and therefore not connected):
6. Install the new monitor board
7. Re-install the lower bracket
Ensure that the connectors from the new board fit through the holes on this bracket. You may need to "wiggle" the bracket gently, as the it is an exact fit for the connectors.
8. Re-install the remaining part of the back panel
