Overview

This document shows you the updated driver app side by side with the old version. Every step of the route flow is covered — from viewing your route to marking it complete. Use this as a reference when training drivers or onboarding new team members.

The updated experience — cleaner, faster, smarter.

Step 1 – Home Screen

This is the first screen drivers see when they open the app. It shows all upcoming stops, the time window, and the map overview.

Step 2 — Build Route

This is where drivers can build a new route directly from the driver app, pulling stops from all windows for the day.

Step 3 – Start Route & Navigate to Stops

Once the stop order looks right, the driver confirms and starts the live route. This sends SMS notifications to customers that the driver is on the way. Once the route is live, drivers see the full stop list and can navigate to each stop. The current stop is always highlighted at the top.

Start Route

Clicking “Start Route” will show a confirmation modal
Route goes live — driver is now on the Live Route view
Customers are notified automatically

Live Route & Navigation

Live Route shows stop cards in order with a blue vertical timeline
Active stop is highlighted in blue at the top
Each card shows: address, time window, order ID, driver name, and bag count
Tap "GO" to get directions
Tap "VIEW STOP" to open stop detail

Stop Detail & Completing a Stop

Shows: address, time window, driver name, # of bags (+/- toggle), pickup instructions, order notes, internal customer notes, and a photo upload field
Tap "COMPLETE PICKUP" to mark the stop done
Tap the red (!) button → select failure reason → confirm to log a failed pickup

View Route (pre-start)

Map at top shows numbered stop pins
Stop list shows: stop number, customer name, address, order ID, bag count, and hanger count
Time window and total stop count shown at a glance
