How to create a networked machine

Written by Misael

In this article, you will learn how to create a networked machine in the Cents Business Manager.

To get started, login to your Cents Business Manager and click into the “Equipment” section under “My Stores.”

Next, click the “+ Add Machines” icon in the top right corner of the machines list and then choose “Networked.”

If you have unpaired devices, you will see the list of devices in the “Cents device” drop-down menu. Choose the correct MAC address from the list of devices shown and click “Next” to proceed.

Once you have selected the MAC address, you will need to select the correct manufacturer (e.g., Alliance, Dexter, Electrolux) and the correct type (e.g., Pulse, Midas, Centurion, ACA, etc.), and then enter the machine number. If it is a serial machine, then you will just need to click save, and you are complete. If it is a GPIO (pulse) machine, you will need to select Washer or Dryer, enter the correct pricing and time for the base vend price and base vend minutes, and then click Save.

Once you have created the device, you will now see it in the list of devices under the machines tab.

With a networked device, you can see several insights to this specific device. In the details tab of the machine, you will be able to see which machines are available, location, manufacturer name and number, device number, and when a turn is complete for a self-serve wash.

You will also see information regarding pricing and settings. Click into the “Pricing & Settings.” Here, you will see information about base pricing and modifiers. This information is read from the machine directly, so this information is not editable.

In the “Turns” tab, you are able to see information about the entire turn record and the reason for this turn.

There are a few different types of services displayed here. A technical service appears when you have manually run the machine due to a technical reason. A customer service turn indicates that you had to manually run the machine for a customer, such as a free wash. A full service turn indicates that this was a wash and fold order, and a self service turn means that this customer did a self serve wash.
