How to Enable Cash Card Payments at a Location
Cents lets a location accept cash card payments at the register, alongside cash and credit. You set this up per location in the Business Manager by choosing your cash card system and entering the credentials from your provider. This guide walks you through it.
Before you start
You need Admin access to the Business Manager.
Cash card payments are set up per location, so repeat these steps for each store that will accept them.
Cents supports three cash card systems: ESD, CCI, and LaundroWorks. Have your provider login details ready before you begin.
For CCI, you must be on CCI’s LaundryCard system. The Fascard integration is not supported.
Open the location’s payment options
Click Admin in the top-left, then open Locations.
Select the location you want to set up.
Click the three-dot menu (⋯) in the top-right and choose Configure Payment Options.
Turn on cash card payments and choose your system
Toggle Accept cash card payments at this location to ON.
Under Select your Cash Card Payment System, choose the system your card readers use.
Enter every field for that system, then click Save.
The fields depend on which system you select:
ESD: Device Serial Number and ESD Location ID.
CCI: CCI Store Username, CCI Store Password, and CCI Store ID. The username must be entered in email format.
LaundroWorks: Username, Password, Customer Key, Location ID, and POS Number.
Optional: also track cash and your cash drawer
In the same window you can turn on Accept cash payments and Cash Drawer tracking if this location also takes cash. Toggle on whichever you need before you save.
Troubleshooting
Getting “Request failed with status code 422” on the tablet?
Your cash card credentials are missing or incorrect. Re-open Configure Payment Options, confirm every field, and make sure the CCI username is in email format.
Cash card option not showing at the register?
Confirm the Accept cash card payments toggle is ON and that you pressed Save. If it still doesn’t appear, log out and back in on the Employee App so it pulls the new settings.
Not sure which system or credentials to use?
Your credentials come from your cash card provider (ESD, CCI, or LaundroWorks), not Cents. Pick the system that matches your physical readers, and contact your provider if you don’t have the login details.
Using CCI but it won’t connect?
Make sure you’re on CCI’s LaundryCard system. Cents does not support the Fascard integration.
Set it up but one store still can’t take cash cards?
These settings apply only to the location you edited. Repeat the steps for each store that accepts cash card payments.
