What Regions Are and How to Add One

Group locations by city, county, or state so reports stay dynamic and tax rates follow each region.

Written by Euri

If you run more than one location, Regions and Districts let you group your stores by area so you can organize and manage your business, and compare performance by area. A region is a top-level group, like a city or metro area. Each region contains one or more districts, which are smaller groups inside it.

Use this if you have stores in different cities, counties, or states and want to organize them by area.

Before you start

  • You need Admin access to Cents Business Manager.

  • Regions and Districts is designed for accounts with multiple locations.

Step 1: Open the Regions page

  • Log in to Cents Business Manager and click Admin at the top.

  • In the Account menu on the left, click Regions. The page shows every region on your account, with its districts listed under the name.

Step 2: Turn on Regions and Districts

  • At the top of the Regions page, turn on the Regions & Districts toggle. The option to add a region appears.

Step 3: Add a region

  • Click Add new region.

  • Enter a name for the region, such as San Francisco or East Bay.

  • Add the districts that belong to it, such as Marina, Mission, and Presidio.

  • Save the region. Repeat for as many regions as you need.

How your regions look

Each region name is followed by its districts. For example:

  • San Francisco: Marina, Mission, Presidio

  • East Bay: Oakland, Richmond

  • South Bay: San Jose, San Mateo

Troubleshooting

  • I don't see Add new region.
Turn on the Regions & Districts toggle at the top of the Regions page first.

  • I only have one location.
You don't need regions. They're meant for businesses with several stores.
