A recurring order is a standing pickup and delivery schedule for one customer. You set it up once, and Cents creates a brand-new order automatically on the cadence you chose — weekly, every two weeks, or whatever interval fits. Each one behaves like any other online order: it shows up in your orders list, routes like normal, and gets intaken and priced in store.
Before you start
Recurring orders are set up while placing an order, not from a separate screen. There is no standalone "create a subscription" page. The recurring schedule is created as part of an online order — either one you place on the customer's behalf, or one the customer places themselves.
The customer's payment method will be attached to the recurring order itself. If there's an active recurring order the customer will not be able to remove it unless they complete or void it,
Set it up for the customer (Business Manager)
Log in to the Cents Business Manager and go to the Stores section.
Click into the customer's name, then click the + to place an order on their behalf.
Enter the customer's address to check pickup eligibility, then choose the pickup and return times you want the schedule anchored to.
Select service types, add-ons, laundry preferences, and any special instructions.
Enroll the customer in recurring deliveries and choose the interval.
You can schedule your recurring orders with the following intervals:
- Weekly
- Bi-Weekly
- Every 3 weeks
- Evey 4 weeks
6. Click Submit Order.
That first order is the start of the schedule. From there, Cents generates the following orders on its own.
What happens each cycle
Cents creates the next order automatically the day before the scheduled pickup.
The services on the recurring schedule carry over to each new order. Turnaround, bag count, and order notes carry over from the customer's most recent order in the series.
Delivery fees are priced fresh each time, so a rate change is picked up on the next order rather than locking in the old amount.
Promotions and account credits do not carry over. If the customer used a promo code on the first order, later orders in the schedule are created without it.
Items come in unweighted, exactly like a normal pickup order. Your team weighs and prices at intake as usual.
Skipping, editing, and cancelling
The customer can, from LiveLink: skip an individual week, edit the schedule, change the interval, or cancel it.
Your team can: cancel a customer's recurring schedule from the customer's page in the Business Manager, or from the in-store app.
A few things worth knowing:
Skipping pushes the schedule out. Skipping a week doesn't pull the following orders forward — the next order lands one full interval later.
Editing a schedule resets upcoming changes, but keeps skips. If you've customized a specific upcoming week and then edit the whole schedule, that customization is cleared. A week the customer already skipped stays skipped.
A cancelled schedule can't be edited or restarted. To start again, place a new order and enroll the customer in recurring deliveries as above.
A card or address in use by an active schedule can't be deleted until the schedule is cancelled or moved to a different card or address.
Store closures
When you add a holiday or closure that overlaps upcoming recurring orders, Cents flags the conflicts so you can handle them ahead of time. For each affected schedule or week, you can dismiss the conflict, cancel it, or reschedule it to a different window. Rescheduling notifies the customer only if you choose to send a notification.
