  1. Navigate to the locations tab of your Cents Business Manager and click into three dot menu in the top right corner to “configure payment options”

2. Activate both cash payments and cash drawer functionality at this location.

3. Turn over the cash drawer so you are looking at the bottom of it

4. Plug the larger end of the black cash drawer cable into the lone port (indicated by the red arrow)

5. Connect smaller end of the cash drawer cable into back of Sunmi (port indicated by red arrow)

6. Flip the cash drawer back over, assure all packing has been removed from the drawer, and that the key hole is in the vertical unlocked position

7. Test the cash drawer by clicking into the cash drawer field on your Cents application. From there, your drawer should pop right open.

Troubleshooting Guide: APG Cash Drawer Not Opening from Cents App

If your APG cash drawer is not opening after following the initial setup steps, check the following:

  1. Cable Type and Connection

    • Ensure you are using the APG Printer Interface Cable CD-101A (Cash Drawer to Printer Connection).

    • This cable has two different-sized ends:

      • The smaller end connects to the back of the Sunmi device or printer.

      • The larger end connects to the bottom of the APG cash drawer.

    • Confirm both ends are securely connected.

  2. Voltage Settings on Sunmi Tablet

    • Go to Settings > Cashbox.

    • Set the Voltage to 24V.

    • Return to the Cents app and try opening the drawer.

      • If 24V does not work, try 12V, then 9V.

    • Note: Most APG cash drawers use 24V.

If the issue persists after checking the cable and voltage settings, consider contacting support for further assistance.
