ALWAYS POWER DOWN MACHINES THROUGHOUT DEVICE INSTALLATION.
Please reference the general Penny and Pulse Installation guides found below:
The NetMaster are older Alliance machines having model numbers with 5th and 6th digits of:
NC, NR, NX, NY, ZC, ZR, ZX, ZY
SCxxN....
These machines will be operated in "GPIO" or "Pulse Only" mode. The Cents harness will connect to machine power, coin drop, machine coin interface, and 4 or 7-pin machine connector.
Required Materials
Cents device
Alliance Coin Count Harness (30-01023)
Wire Splices (81-01616) washers only
Flying Lead Power Adapter (30-00899) washers only
Harness Installation Steps
Washers and dryers have an identical harness installation process.
Locate the main control board and locate the 4 or 7 pin connector on the control board.
Locate the 7-pin connector on the Cents 30-01023 harness. Align the connector with the header on the control board such that the black wire connects to pin 1, and the side of the connector with the blue wire overhangs the header.
Identify the coin drop and unplug it from the machine control board. Plug the male 3-pin connector (pink arrow) from the machine coin interface into the female 3-pin connector on the 30-01023 harness. Plug the female 3-pin connector (green arrow) from the coin drop into the male 3-pin connector on the 30-01023 harness.
Power Connection
WASHERS: Identify the connector "H1" on the door interlock control board. There should be a 16-pin connector with 8 grey wires populated. Splice into the wires on pins 11 and 13 to tap power.
Note that some "coin ready" machines will have a male 2-pin connector "J2" that is available. In these cases, we do not need to tap power and that connector can be used directly.
DRYERS: Identify a male 2-pin connector (orange arrow). This may be plugged in, and may be unplugged. Plug this into the female 2-pin connector on the 30-01023 harness.
Connect the Penny via the 16-pin connector and test power.
Device Installation Steps
ALWAYS ENSURE DRYER TAPE IS USED
For device installation, the Penny General Guide as well as the Centurion/MDC guide can be referenced.
Device Programming
Ensure that the VLAN setup has already been performed in order to move forward with device provisioning.
Follow the generic Penny Installation guide for overall instructions on device provisioning. Shown below are machine-specific provisioning instructions for Dexter C-Series Washers.
Using any smartphone, scan the QR code. A URL with the device's unique ID will be opened. You will be prompted with a login page. Use the provided login. After logging in, a provisioning page for that device will appear.
For this machine type, copy the settings as shown above:
Washer/Dryer accordingly
Device Number: Input the machine number according to the store's numbering convention. If the store names each machine pocket, it is acceptable to name the machine with both numbers. Note that duplicates are not allowed. If for some reason you need to input a duplicate number, simply prefix it with '0'. E.g. Washer01
Short device Name: This identifier will prepend each credit card transaction unique ID. Most commonly users prepend the number with "D".
Choose Machine Type: SERIAL
Choose Serial Type: DEXTER
Price in Dollars: The default price the Penny will show. Dryers only, otherwise ignore
Minutes per Quarter: The number of minutes that $0.25 buys you on this machine. Dryers only, otherwise ignore
After pressing submit, the device will reboot. Each time the device reboots it will display its QR code which can be scanned to verify the settings previously chosen for that device. In the event that a setting was entered incorrectly, contact Cents.
Machine Programming
NetMaster machines must have the correct pulse settings at the machine level. The process below outlines the reprogramming process.
Enter the programming menu by simultaneously pressing LOW TEMP and MED TEMP
Navigate to
