Note: The position of the control board will differ for stacked dryers vs. single frontload dryers.

  1. Power off the machine and open the machine

  2. Attach the power adapter to the black 2-pin connector on the control board

  3. Attach the white connector coming from the power adapter to the 2-pin connector on the Cents harness (RED ARROW)

  4. Attach the 7-pin connector on the Cents harness to the 7-pin connector on the control board (GREEN ARROW)

  5. If 3-pin female and 3-pin male connectors are present on the Cents harness, they can be ignored and do not need to be connected to anything

  6. Using the adhesives on the back of the Pulse, attach the Pulse to the inside of the machine (typically next to the control panel). Face the antenna into open air.
For frontload dryers, the position will be behind the display (as pictured), for stacked dryers, the device will be mounted within the cavity.

  7. ACA machines must be set to SERIAL MODE by flipping DIPSWITCH #3 to the UP position.
A small screwdriver or pocket knife will make flipping this switch easier. After flipping the switch, restart the machine to make this change permanent. If the device is not yet configured, the machine will show EC19, which means that it has been successfully placed in SERIAL MODE and is awaiting serial communications from a card system.

  8. Power the machine on, verify the LEDs on the Pulse are illuminated.
