If you need to start fresh with your BBPOS WisePOS E, you can perform a factory reset. This will erase all settings and data on the device.
Factory Reset Steps
Make sure your WisePOS E is powered on.
On the sides of the device, locate the two small blue buttons.
Press and hold both blue buttons at the same time.
Keep holding until the screen displays the reset confirmation message.
Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm the factory reset.
The device will restart and return to its original factory settings.
After the Reset: Setup Flow
When the reader reboots, you’ll see the welcome screen.
Connect to Wi-Fi:
Select your Wi-Fi network.
Enter the Wi-Fi password.
The reader will check for and install any available software updates. This may take a few minutes.
Once updates are complete, the reader will reboot again.
After restarting, the reader will display a 3-word registration code (for example: apple-desk-river).
This code is what you’ll use to pair the reader with your POS or business manager system. Please send this code to our Support team ([email protected]) so that we can register the device to your account.
Important Notes
A factory reset removes all saved Wi-Fi networks, settings, and cached data.
Keep your device connected to power during updates to avoid interruptions.
If you don’t see the 3-word registration code after updates, restart the device once more.
