How to Set Up a Custom Sending Domain for Email Campaigns in Accelerate

Before You Start

You’ll need:

  • Access to Email Campaigns in Accelerate

  • Login access to your domain provider (e.g., Cloudflare, GoDaddy, etc.)

  • An email address at a domain you own (example: [email protected])

💡 Good to know: Accelerate uses a DNS automation partner (Entri) to make setup simple. In most cases, you won’t need to manually configure DNS records.

Step 1: Start Creating a Blast

  1. Go to Blasts in Accelerate.

  2. Begin creating a new blast.

  3. At the bottom of the blast editor, find the From Email section.

  4. Click the dropdown to see your current sending address.

By default, you’ll see your existing connected address.

Step 2: Add a New Sending Email

  1. In the From Email dropdown, click Add New Email.

  2. Enter:

    • The email address you want to send from (e.g., [email protected])

    • The display name (the name recipients will see, e.g., Your Business Name)

Accelerate will automatically detect the domain (everything after the @) and guide you through connecting it.

Click Connect Domain.

Step 3: Connect Your Domain (Automated DNS Setup)

After clicking Connect Domain, a new tab will open powered by our DNS partner (Entry).

What happens next:

  1. Entry will automatically scan your domain.

  2. You’ll be prompted to sign in to your domain provider (e.g., Cloudflare) using OAuth.

  3. After signing in, you’ll see a prompt asking you to authorize DNS changes.

Entry will:

  • Automatically install the required DNS records

  • Handle configuration for you

You do not need to manually copy or paste DNS records.

  1. Click Authorize.

  2. Once complete, the tab will close automatically.

  3. Return to Accelerate.

Step 4: Wait for Domain Connection

Back in Accelerate, you’ll see the domain status change to something like:

  • Connecting

  • Configuring

  • Or similar progress messaging

DNS propagation can take some time. In some cases, it connects quickly. In others, it may take longer depending on your provider.

Click Done to finish setup.

Step 5: Send Using Your New Email

While your domain is still connecting:

  • You cannot send blasts from the new email yet.

  • You’ll see a message indicating that action is required or that it’s still connecting.

However, you can always:

  • Switch back to your previous sending address

  • Continue sending as you normally would

Once the domain finishes connecting:

  • Select your new custom email from the dropdown

  • Send your blast as usual

What If It’s Taking a While?

DNS propagation times vary. If your email is still in a connecting state:

  • Give it some additional time

  • Refresh the page

  • Confirm you completed the authorization step in the domain provider

If it still doesn’t connect after a reasonable period, contact support with:

  • The email address you’re trying to connect

  • Your domain provider (e.g., Cloudflare, GoDaddy)
