How to Create Pop-Up Events on Your Live Link

Written by Jessie Guerra

Pop-Up Events let you send timely, on-screen messages to customers right on your LiveLink (online ordering link). Set a message to appear the moment a customer signs up, places an order, adds a service, and more, so the right information reaches them at exactly the right time.

Before you start

Pop-Up Events lives in Business Manager → Contact Center → Pop Up Events.

Keep in mind what Pop-Up Events can't do yet:

  • It doesn't send outbound messages (SMS, email, or push) - pop-ups only appear while a customer is active on the LiveLink.

  • Each pop-up supports one trigger event at a time.

  • It doesn't integrate with Intercom for targeting logic.

Step 1: Start a new pop-up

  1. Log in to Business Manager.

  2. Go to Contact Center → Pop Up Events.

  3. Click New Pop Up.

  4. Choose how you want to start:

    • Use a template: pick from pre-built options like "Dry Cleaning is Now Available" to get a head start.

    • Start from scratch: build your pop-up with no starting content.

Step 2: Customize the content

Once you've chosen a starting point, fill in the details:

  1. Add a headline and body text. You can use rich text formatting — bullets, lists, and images — to make the message easy to scan.

  2. Add an image by pasting in an image URL (optional).

  3. Set up your primary button:

    • Enter the button text (for example, "Enroll Now" or "Learn More").

    • Choose what it does when clicked: close the pop-up, open an external URL, start a phone call, or deep link to a specific page or section of your LiveLink (like your services page or rewards enrollment).

  4. Add a secondary button if you want to give customers a second option (optional).

Step 3: Set the trigger event

The trigger determines when your pop-up appears. Choose one of the following:

Trigger

Fires when…

Example use

Customer sign up

A customer creates an account on the LiveLink

"Place your first order" or "Enroll in loyalty"

New order

A customer creates an order

"Watch for a text from a 321 area code"

Service added

A specific service is added to an order (you can filter to one service type)

Trigger only when dry cleaning is added

Page visited

A customer visits a specific LiveLink page

Show a message on your rewards page

Order submitted

A customer submits an order

"Remember to leave your clothes outside"

Cycle completion

A cycle is completed

Send a care reminder

Each pop-up can only have one trigger event. If you want to message customers at multiple moments, create a separate pop-up for each one.

Step 4: Target your audience (optional)

You don't have to show every pop-up to every customer. Narrow who sees it with:

  • Location filter — limit the pop-up to one or more specific store locations.

  • Customer segment — restrict the pop-up to a specific group, like VIP customers only.

Leave these blank if you want the pop-up to show for all customers and locations tied to the trigger.

Step 5: Schedule or publish

Decide when your pop-up should go live:

  • Publish immediately — the pop-up starts showing as soon as you save it.

  • Schedule it — set a start date/time and stop date/time, useful for time-limited promotions.

Once you're happy with your setup, save your pop-up to make it active.

Step 6: Track performance

Every pop-up automatically tracks:

  • Views — how many customers saw the pop-up

  • Exits — how many customers closed it without clicking the button

  • CTA clicks — how many customers clicked the button

Check back in Contact Center → Pop Up Events to see how each pop-up is performing, and adjust your content, trigger, or targeting as needed.

Common ways operators use Pop-Up Events

  • Announce a new service (like wet cleaning or alterations)

  • Drive loyalty enrollment right when a customer signs up

  • Share order instructions after a new order comes in (like "leave your clothes outside")

  • Promote a discount to self-serve customers who haven't tried wash and fold

  • Remind customers to update their care preferences when they add a service
