In this article, you will learn how to build a route on the Cents Driver App.

In order to get started, download the latest version of the Driver App and login.

From here, you will begin building your delivery route. First click “Build route” from the driver app home screen.

You are now presented with a list of windows to select. Here, you will see the stops from the selected windows.

Now, you can start building your route.

You will see a checkbox next to each window, with an option to select all at the top of the list.

Please note, that windows with un-routed stops remaining will appear in this list. If a driver removes stop(s) from the route they are building, the un-routed stops remaining in that window will be available to add to a new route by another driver. When all the stops for a window have been routed, that window will be removed from this list. If new stops are added to a window that has been completed (or removed from the list because all stops have been routed), this window should reappear on the list so that these new stops can be routed.

If you have consecutive routes occurring all day, you can route them together at this point.

Once you have selected the window(s) for your desired route, click “View stops.”

Route Overview:

You will now see the “Route Overview” page. The route overview will display the starting point, number of stops, and endpoint.

Click into any of the “Edit” icons to begin editing the following route.

Edit Start/End Points (Optional):

The start and end point are the store location by default, but the driver has the ability to edit those start and end points.

To edit the starting point, click into the “Edit” icon on the right side of the “Starting point” card.

The following options to change the starting point to will be displayed:

You will be able to choose between the store name and address, current location, choose from route and customer address. If the driver chooses “Choose from route,” they can set the starting point as one of the stops on the route. If they choose “Custom address,” they will be able to enter the address of your choice.

When you are satisfied with the start point, click the “Set start location” button.

To edit the endpoint, click into the “Edit” icon on the right side of the “Endpoint” card. You will be presented with the same options from the “Edit start location” screen.

When you are satisfied with the start point, click the “Set endpoint” button.

Edit Stops on Route (Optional):

You have the option to edit any of the stops you would like and de-select/re-select which stops you want to include on the route you are building, via the checkboxes to the left of each stop.

Stops that are a part of another active route are shown as grayed out, and stops that have been completed are removed from the list.

You are also able to view/edit the stops in a Map View as shown below.

Stops that are selected will appear in solid color and deselected stops will appear with just the outline of the color. The colors of these pins are specified by the colors selected in the Business Manager ahead of time.

When you are satisfied with the stops on your route, Click “Save.”

Now, you can optimize your route. View the route per route overview screen, and click “Optimize route.” When “Optimize route” is clicked from the route overview screen, all selected stops, along with start and end Points are sent to Mapbox for optimization. The image below will display on the screen.

Once optimization is complete, you will be presented with the finalized route on a map view.

Finalize Route:

You will now be presented with a map and list view of your route with the ability to reorder stops before finalizing the route.

The pins on the map are numbered to denote the stop order. These numbers correspond with the numbers in the list view on the bottom of the screen. From here, you can set zoom so that all stops can be viewed on the map by default. The driver has the ability to pinch to zoom in and out as needed on this screen.

You can click each pin on the map to see details about the stop. Stop information (Address, Customer Name, Type: Pickup/Delivery) is displayed when a pin is selected.

Reorder Stops

If you would like to adjust the order of the stops, you can click the “Edit” button. You are presented with the list of orders, and you can drag and drop to change the order via the hamburger icon on the right of each stop. You also have the ability to remove a stop from the list by clicking the “-”icon to the left of each stop.

After you have adjusted the route, click “Apply” and the map and list on the “Finalize route” screen is updated accordingly. When you are satisfied with the order, click the “Start route” button from the “Finalize route” screen. One of the following screens will be displayed to the driver to confirm they’d like to start the route.

After “Start route” is clicked, the driver is then taken to the live route screen to begin the route.
