In this article, you will learn how to set up your tipping preferences on Cents.

Login to your Cents Business Manager and go into your “Account settings.” Here you can set up in-store and online tipping. To set up in-store tipping, click into “Settings” and then scroll down to the “In Store Tipping” section.

Turn this toggle on to give your customers the opportunity to tip for any in-store full-service orders during payment (on the POS or via their online order link). You can choose to set a default percentage or fixed dollar amount to display on the tip screen. The card reader will display the preset tip values. For orders under $10, the tip options are $1, $2, $3, or other. For orders over $10, the tip options are 15%, 20%, 25%, or other.

To enable tipping for orders placed online, you will need to toggle on the “Online Tipping” setting. You can choose to set a default tip option for orders placed online. Simply enter in the default dollar amounts you would like to appear on the customers online live link. There is no option to add a percentage based tip amount here, since tips are calculated during order placement and the value of online orders is only determined during intake in-store. These tip options will now display on the live link when a customer is placing an online order.
