With a loyalty program, customers earn points on their purchases and redeem them for money off future orders. You choose how many points they earn per dollar and how many they need before they can redeem.
Use this if you're setting up loyalty rewards, or a customer is asking how they earn or use their points.
Set up your loyalty program
In Cents Business Manager, go to Admin > Promotions > Loyalty Program.
Turn on Enable Loyalty Program and choose which services earn rewards: Full service orders, Self-serve credit purchases, or both.
Under Earning Points, set how many points customers earn for every dollar spent. Each point is worth $0.01.
Under Redeeming Points, set the minimum points a customer needs before they can redeem.
How customers earn points
Full service orders: points are added when the order is marked complete, based on the order total minus taxes, tips, and fees. For example, at 5 points per dollar, a $50 order with $10 in taxes, tips, and fees earns 200 points ($40 x 5).
Self-serve credit purchases: points are added when the customer buys credit to start machines.
Customers need to be enrolled in your loyalty program to earn points. Commercial customers don't earn points.
How customers check their points
On their LiveLink account, customers can open the Rewards section to see points earned on each order and their progress toward the next reward.
Your team can see a customer's rewards on their profile in the Cents Employee App.
How to redeem points at the POS
At checkout in the Cents Employee App, tap Credit Reward Points on the payment method screen. This option shows when your loyalty program is on.
Any available credit and redeemable rewards show in green. Enter the amount of rewards you want to apply.
If the customer hasn't reached the minimum yet, you'll see how many more points they need.
Tap Back to payment methods to finish paying any balance left on the order.
Customers can also redeem points themselves on their LiveLink account.
Important things to know
Points don't expire.
If an order paid with points is cancelled, the redeemed points go back to the customer.
Points a customer earned stay on their balance even if that order is later refunded.
Changing the value of a point changes the value of every point customers already have.
Troubleshooting
A customer isn't earning points.
Check that they're enrolled in your loyalty program, the order is marked complete, the service type is turned on under Loyalty Program, and they're not a commercial customer.I don't see Credit Reward Points at checkout.
Make sure Enable Loyalty Program is turned on in Business Manager. The customer has points but can't redeem them.
They haven't reached the minimum set under Redeeming Points yet. The screen shows how many more they need.
