How to Add a New Tax Rate for Shifts

As an admin, you have the ability to add new tax rates for shifts in your company's locations. This can be useful for accurately tracking and reporting taxes for your employees. Follow the steps below to add a new tax rate for shifts.

Navigating to the Add New Tax Rate Page

To begin, navigate to the "Locations" page in the admin section of your company's website. From there, click on the "Details" tab for the specific location you want to add a new tax rate for. Next, click on the "Shifts" tab and then select the "Tax Rate" option. Finally, click on the "Add New Tax Rate" button to be taken to the page where you can create a new tax rate.

Creating a New Tax Rate

On the "Add New Tax Rate" page, you will see a form where you can input the details for your new tax rate. Start by entering the name of the tax rate in the designated field. This can be something like "State Sales Tax" or "Local Income Tax". Next, enter the percentage rate for the tax in the "Rate" field. You can also add a description for the tax rate in the "Description" field if desired.

Once you have entered all the necessary information, click on the "Save" button to create the new tax rate. You will then be taken back to the "Tax Rate" page where you can see your new tax rate listed.

Editing or Deleting a Tax Rate

If you need to make changes to a tax rate in the future, you can do so by clicking on the "Edit" button next to the tax rate on the "Tax Rate" page. This will allow you to update the name, rate, or description of the tax rate. If you no longer need a tax rate, you can also delete it by clicking on the "Delete" button next to the tax rate.
