Titanium machines are also known as Platinum and "Quantum Gold" and are usually white and have a small black antenna on the right side of the control board. These controls also have a white display instead of the greenish display on an ACA board.

Please reference the general Penny and Pulse Installation guides found below:

ALWAYS POWER DOWN MACHINES THROUGHOUT DEVICE INSTALLATION.

Alliance Titanium or “Platinum” machines can be identified by their similarity to ACA machines. There are two main ways to distinguish them:

  1. 7-segment display coloring is white/silver versus the previous green

  2. “Synthetics” cycle replaces “Permanent Press”

Follow the respective guides for mounting the Penny device. Unlike other Alliance machines, the 7-pin connector is on a secondary board. The main board is seen below:

The auxiliary board with 7-pin connector is towards the back of the machine, seen below:

Note that FLW and TLW machines require the 30-01190 harness to power the device. The 30-01190 adapter will plug into a black female 2-pin connector on the control board at one end, and a white female 2-pin connector on the 30-01022 harness at the other.

After connecting the wiring harness, the machine must be programmed correctly. This guide describes the process required to use these machines in SERIAL/MULTI vend mode.

Relevant manuals are below

Step-By-Step Instructions

Set aTYPE to 6

  1. Open the machine cover and disconnect the bullet connector to allow the machine to enter into Manual Mode. (NOTE: The coin vault switch must be closed to enter Manual Mode. Note also that not all machines have the bullet connector.)

  2. Press the REGULAR keypad with one hand and, at the same time, press the NORMAL keypad with the other hand.

  3. The display will show rAPd

  4. Press the DELICATE (∧) or the HOT (∨) keypad to scroll through the options until ProG appears on the display

  5. Press the START (enter) keypad to enter the ProG menu

  6. Navigate to the SErPAY menu, and press START (enter)

  7. Select option 2 / CARD, and press START (enter) keypad to accept and re-enter the ProG menu

  8. Navigate to the CArdEn menu, and press START (enter)

  9. Select option on and press START (enter) keypad to accept and re-enter the ProG menu

  10. Select the PULSE menu and press START (enter)

  11. Navigate to PLSMod menu, and press START (enter)

  12. Select MULT for "Multiple Pulses" and press START (enter)

  13. Navigate to aTYPE and press START (enter)

  14. Select 6 for "Available with Vend" and press START (enter)

  15. Use the WARM (<) button to exit back to the IDLE state.

If you had previously programmed these machines to the GPIO/pulse mode, simply performing the steps above will reverse that programming and allow serial communications accordingly.
