Cents now communicates with Laundroworks’ Washlynx app to make it easier for attendants to start machines via Advanced Processing.

There are a few prerequisites that must be in place to ensure the integration works seamlessly:

  1. Ensure Laundroworks details are added under “Cash card settings” in the configure payment options area

  2. Laundroworks must configure the Washlynx app for the store*

  3. Please send in any Feedback on the WashLynx App to [email protected]

with “WashLynx Feedback” as the Subject

    1. Activation Steps

      1. Email us at [email protected] to advise that you would like to use WashLynx. We’ll need to configure and potentially run some updates on your system.

      2. Login with the same account as LaundryCat App, if you have this App. Otherwise create a new WashLynx account.

      3. Tap phone to any reader to bind the account to your location. (This is just like LaundryCat App)

      4. Initially, the App will not have any permissions. You, as the operator, will need to set various permissions on the LaundroPortal

    2. Hardware Requirements

      1. VAC4 control board inside the VAC (these are black main VAC controls boards. These have been in production for over 3 years so you most likely have these in your VACs)

      2. NFC-capable VAC NFC board with firmware version V2.1.1.17 or greater (boards with a lower firmware version may not be remotely updatable so you may need to purchase new NFC boards for the VAC at a small cost)

      3. NFC-capable card readers

    3. Configuring Permissions

      1. Log into the Portal and use Card Tracker to find your account (it starts with an M and is printed in the App’s main screen

      2. Go to the WashLynx tab

      3. Enable/Disable and set permission value as needed
You may want to use cause-and-effect to see what features and functions are enabled on the App as you change configurations.
        Some tips.

        1. You can set daily limits on total cycles and total cost of cycles that the account can use. To enable lmiits, check-off the appropriate checkboxes and enter values. You can use the rewind button to reset today’s use. The values will be reset at midnight.

        2. VAC kiosk limits.
You can set limits to the total value of refunds/monies added in a similar way. For example, with the setting below, the account will be to able to refund more than $200 which includes value whenever an attendant dispense new cards.

*Please note that some minor hardware updates might be required to support the Laundroworks Washlynx app depending on your version of the Laundroworks system. Please contact [email protected] with any questions.

The Cents <> Washlynx integration sends machine information from the Cents employee application to Washlynx, so that attendants can seamlessly start and run machines from Washlynx directly.

To utilize the integration, create a new order on Cents and move the order to Processing. Assign the relevant machines used to the order using the drop-down list of washers and dryers on Cents.

Once the order is in the Processing stage, it will appear in the list of orders under the “Wash, Dry, Fold” tab on Washlynx:

Click into the order on Washlynx, where the order number, entry date and due date are listed.

Click into the order and click “Start machine for this order.”

Using the NFC tap functionality, tap the phone against the reader on the machine to start the machine.

Once the machines have finished processing the order, mark the order as processing complete on Cents.
