From the Delivery Manifest in the Cents Employee App, you can update the status of pickup and delivery orders yourself: mark a pickup as Ready for Intake so you can start processing it, or mark a delivery as Delivered to close it out.
Use this if a driver picked up or dropped off an order but the status didn't update, or you need to start an order right away.
Before you start
Do this in the Cents Employee App on your store tablet.
These manual updates are for pickup and delivery orders handled by your own drivers. On-demand orders (Uber or Roadie) update automatically as the courier completes them.
Completing a route in the Driver App already moves its pickups to Ready for Intake, so you'll usually only need this for one-off fixes.
Step 1: Open the Delivery Manifest
From the Home screen, tap Active Orders (or the Deliveries tile).
In the Active Orders list, tap Deliveries in the top-right corner.
You'll see your current and upcoming pickups and deliveries with the customer name, phone number, address, status, and ETA. Orders are split into Standard and On-Demand, and your own drivers' stops are grouped by window and route.
Step 2: Find the order
Switch between Standard and On-Demand.
Choose a date and a delivery Window.
Tap the search icon and enter the order number or customer name.
Step 3: Mark a pickup as Ready for Intake
Find the pickup in the manifest and tap the 3-dot menu on the right side of its row.
Tap Mark as ready for intake. The order moves out of Deliveries and into Active Orders so you can start the intake.
Step 4: Mark a delivery as Delivered
Find the delivery in the manifest and tap the 3-dot menu on the right side of its row.
Tap Mark as delivered. The order is completed and moves to Completed Orders.
When to mark an order as Delivered
Do mark it Delivered when the driver dropped off the order but didn't complete the stop in the Driver App, or you're cleaning up an order that was delivered but is still sitting in Deliveries.
Don't mark it Delivered if the order is still with the driver, the customer says they didn't receive it, or it's a walk-in order. Walk-in orders are closed with Complete at pickup.
Important things to know
Marking an order Delivered completes it. Completed orders are locked, so make sure it's the right order.
An order needs to be paid (or billed by invoice) before it can be completed. Collect any balance due first.
You can only update one order at a time.
If you're catching up on deliveries from earlier days, the completion date shows when you marked it, not the actual drop-off. Add an order note if the exact date matters.
Troubleshooting
Don't see the Deliveries button?
Make sure you're on Active Orders in the Employee App. The button is in the top-right of the list.
The order isn't in the manifest?
Check the date and Window filters, and make sure you're on the right tab (Standard or On-Demand). Search by order number. If it's not there, it may already be in Completed Orders, or it was a walk-in order.
Don't see "Mark as ready for intake" or "Mark as delivered"?
These options are for your own drivers' pickups and deliveries. On-demand orders update on their own. Also check the order's current status: a pickup that's already been taken in won't show Mark as ready for intake.
Mark as delivered won't complete the order?
The order likely has a balance due. Collect payment first (from the order's 3-dot menu > Charge Now), then mark it delivered.
Marked the wrong order as Delivered?
Delivered orders can't be changed back from the manifest. Text our Support team with the order number so we can help.
The customer says they didn't get the order, but it shows Delivered?
Don't change the status yourself. Gather the driver's drop-off photo or notes and text our Support team so we can look into it.
The order didn't move to Active Orders after Ready for Intake?
Close and reopen Active Orders, then search for the order again.
The manifest won't load or the app freezes?
Close and reopen the Employee App, and make sure it's updated to the latest version.
FAQ
Do I have to mark pickups as Ready for Intake by hand?
No. Completing the route in the Driver App does it automatically. Use the manual option when you need to start one order sooner.
Does this work for on-demand deliveries?
No. On-demand orders update as the courier completes them.
Can I do this from a computer?
Yes. See How to Change the Status of a Delivery Order in Cents Business Manager.
