In this article, you will learn about modifiers on Cents, and the difference between per pound and fixed price modifiers.

Login to the Cents Business Manager and click into the Admin section.

Next, click into “Products & Services” and then “Laundry Services” or “Dry Cleaning.”

From here, select a service to which you wish to add a modifier. In this example, we will select “Wash & Fold.”

Next, click into “Choose Modifiers” where a list of per pound (lb) modifiers and per unit modifiers will be displayed.

To add a per pound (lb) modifier, select the “Per LB Modifiers” tab and click the “+ Add New Modifier” button.

Enter the modifier name, make sure the “Modify per lb” is selected, and add the price per pound that you will charge for this modifier. In the below example, the Lavender Scent per-pound modifier will cost $0.25/lb when added to a customer’s service.

For a per unit modifier, enter in the fixed price you are charging for this modifier. In the below example, the per unit modifier is priced at $5.50.

Once the modifier has been created, click “Save.”

Make sure to enable the modifier for the relevant services by clicking the check-box on the main modifier screen. This will ensure that the modifier displays under the relevant service when creating orders on the Cents Employee App and the live order link.
