Give customers the option to round up their order total and donate the difference to charity.
To opt into Round Up for Charity, login to the Cents Business Manager and click into the “Locations” section under Admin.
In the three dot menu, navigate to “Configure Payment Options” and toggle on “Round Up for Charity.”
When checking out for an order on the Cents store application, users will now see the Round Up screen upon payment. If the user decides to round up (i.e. $27.55 to $28.00), the rounded up total of $28.00 will be displayed on the payment screens to follow. Round Up will only display on the initial payment flow (for charge now or charge later), and will not appear for secondary payments made through split payments or order adjustments.
The portion rounded up will be distributed to LaundryCares, a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to helping under-served communities.
The rounded up totals will display in the order details section for an active order, and the order summary for a completed order.
The totals will be displayed in both the Orders Export and Payments Export. Sum up the total in the payments export over a given time period to get the total collected.
The collected funds will need to be distributed to Laundry Cares on a monthly basis through the donation link online. These funds will need to be calculated by the business owner and must be sent to Laundry Cares.
