Editing the item name or price within a service order allows for customization and accuracy. Follow these steps to make changes to an item within a service order:

“More options” displays a new option on the Order Builder where users can apply changes to an individual line item, including name, price, and notes.

To do so, click into a line item in the order builder and click “More options.”

From here, users can edit the item name, item price, line item notes, and update the add-ons.

To edit the line item name, click into the “Edit item name” icon in the upper left corner. Edit the name of this item and click “Save.”

To edit the item price, click into the “Edit item price” icon in the upper left corner. Please note that this functionality is only available to users who have the permission to “Edit line item price on POS,” which is granted on the Business Manager. If a sessioned-in employee without permission to edit line item price attempts to do so, they will be required to enter their employee code. Once the employee enters their code and updates the item price, click “Save.”

Add notes or tags to this item in the “Line item notes” section. The tags shown here are pulled from the tags created in the “Settings” area of the Business Manager.

After all updates have been made to the order, click “Add to order.”

These changes will now display in the Order Summary under the relevant line item, they will not impact the original product or service from your library.

If needed, all line item edits can be audited using the “Line Items Adjustments” export on the Business Manager, which will outline the adjustment type (Name/Price) and detail the employee responsible for the changes.

By following these steps, you can easily edit the item name or price within a service order, ensuring accuracy and customization for each order. If you encounter any issues, reach out to our support team for assistance.
