Customers often have more than one order at your store. In the Cents Employee App you can collect payment for several orders in one transaction, and pick up and complete several ready orders at once.
Use this if a customer is paying for or picking up more than one order.
Before you start
You're logged in to the Cents Employee App.
The customer has two or more orders with a balance due, or ready for pickup.
Your payment method (card reader, cash drawer, or other) is set up.
Pay for multiple orders during checkout
Start the payment flow on any of the customer's orders, for example at pickup. A note at the top of the payment screen shows if they have other orders with a balance due.
Tap Edit orders to pay. You'll see each payable order with its order code, balance due, intake date, and status.
Select every order to include, then tap Take payment.
The totals are combined into one balance. Finish the payment as usual to collect the full amount.
Pay unpaid orders from the customer profile
Open the customer's details and tap Pay unpaid orders.
Select the orders to include, tap Take payment, and finish the payment.
Pick up and complete multiple ready orders
From the customer's details, open the three-dot menu and choose Pickup and Complete orders. This option shows when the customer has at least one order ready for pickup.
You'll see all of the customer's orders that are Ready for pickup. Select every paid order they're taking.
An order that isn't fully paid can't be selected yet. Tap Pay Now to collect payment, and you'll come back to the list where you can select it.
Confirm to mark the selected orders as picked up and completed.
Charge a single order anytime with Charge Now
To collect payment on one active order at any point (for example, while it's processing), open the order, tap the three-dot menu in the top right, and choose Charge Now. The amount due shows next to the option.
Important things to know
Only the same customer's orders with a balance due show up to pay together. Paid or canceled orders won't appear.
When you pay for several orders at once, any credit or points applied are split proportionally across them.
Orders must be paid in full before you can pick them up and complete them.
Troubleshooting
The other orders aren't showing at checkout.
Only that customer's orders that still have a balance due appear. The customer only wants to pay for some orders.
Tap Edit orders to pay and deselect the ones they're not paying for today.I can't select an order to pick up.
It isn't fully paid. Tap Pay Now first.Charge Now isn't in the menu.
It only shows when the order has a balance due.An order still shows a balance after payment.
Close and reopen the order to refresh it. Check the payment in the order details before charging again so the customer isn't charged twice.
