How to Create a Customer Group Using Cents Assist Agent

The Customers tab in Cents Business Manager includes an AI-powered search bar (available to Cents Assist users) that lets you search, filter, and create customer groups using plain language — no manual filtering needed.

Steps

1. Log in to Cents Business Manager.

2. Navigate to the Customers tab - Click Customers in the left-hand navigation menu.

3. Click into the search bar. At the top of the Customers page, you'll see a search bar that reads "Search, filter, and create groups using natural language." Click into it.

💡 Note: This feature is only visible if you have Cents Assist enabled on your account.

4. Type your search or filter criteria Enter a description in plain language — for example:

  • "customers in Brooklyn"

  • "create a group where customers do not have a recurring order"

  • "min order = 4"

You'll also see recent searches appear as suggestions when you click in.

5. View your filtered customer list. Cents will automatically apply the relevant filters (shown as tags below the search bar) and return a list of matching customers.

6. Take action on your results. From the filtered list, you can:

  • Click Send Message to message all customers in the results

  • Click Save Group to save this filtered list as a reusable customer group

  • Perform other bulk actions as needed
