When you start a networked machine manually from the Cents Employee App or Cents Business Manager, you choose a turn type. The type tells everyone why the machine ran and shows up in your turn history and reports.
Use this if you're giving a customer a free wash or dry, or running a machine for maintenance or testing.
Customer Service vs. Technical turns
Customer Service: use it when you run a machine for a customer, like a re-wash, a free dry, or making up for a machine that ate their money. You'll choose the customer and add notes.
Technical: use it when you run a machine for maintenance, repairs, or testing. You'll enter the technician's name and notes.
Neither type charges the customer.
How to run a service turn
Open the machine: in Business Manager, go to My Stores > Machines. In the Employee App, open the menu and tap Machines.
Click the machine. It must show Available.
Click Run Machine on the Details tab.
Choose Customer Service or Technical and click Next.
For Customer Service, choose the customer and add notes. For Technical, enter the technician name and notes. Click Next.
In Business Manager, click Enable Start, then start the machine from the machine itself. In the Employee App, tap Run Machine. For dryers, choose the time first.
For full step-by-step screenshots, see How to Run a Machine from the Employee App or Business Manager.
Where to see service turns
Open the machine's Turns tab to see each turn with its type, reason, start time, and location.
