How to Pay for Multiple Orders at Once in the Employee App
When a customer has more than one order with a balance due, you can collect payment for all of them in a single transaction in the Cents Employee App. This saves time at pickup and gives the customer one receipt for everything they owe.
Before you start
You are logged in to the Cents Employee App with your employee code.
The customer has two or more orders with a balance due.
Your payment method (card reader, cash drawer, or other payment method) is set up and ready.
Pay for multiple orders during checkout
Start the payment flow on any of the customer's orders (for example, at pickup).
At the top of the payment screen, you'll see a note if the customer has other orders with a balance due.
Tap Edit orders to pay. A list of payable orders appears with the order code, balance due, intake date, and status.
Select every order you want to include, then tap Take payment.
The order totals are added together into one balance. Continue through the payment flow as usual to collect the full amount.
Pay unpaid orders from the customer profile
You can also collect payment outside of a pickup or drop-off.
Open the customer's details.
Tap Pay unpaid orders.
Select the orders to include, then tap Take payment and complete the payment flow.
Charge an individual order anytime with Charge Now
To capture payment on a single active order at any point (for example, while it's processing), open the order, tap the 3-dot menu in the top right, and select Charge Now. The amount due shows next to the option.

Troubleshooting
The other orders aren't showing up at checkout?
Only orders for the same customer that still have a balance due appear in the list. Orders that are already paid or canceled won't show.
The customer only wants to pay for some of their orders?
Tap Edit orders to pay and deselect the orders they don't want to pay for today. Only the selected orders are charged.
Customer credit or points are being split across orders?
That's expected. When you pay for several orders at once, any credit or points applied are split proportionally across the selected orders.
Charge Now isn't in the 3-dot menu?
Charge Now only appears when the order has a balance due. If the order is already paid, there's nothing left to charge.
An order still shows a balance after payment?
Close and reopen the order to refresh it. If the balance is still there, check the payment in the order details before charging again so the customer isn't charged twice.
